Groundbreaking Ceremony Marks the Start of Brian Ellis House
First Garden Cities Homes was delighted to welcome partners, stakeholders and members of the Ellis family on Friday to celebrate the groundbreaking of Brian Ellis House, marking the official start of construction on this exciting new affordable older person housing development in Welwyn Garden City, Herts.
Despite the exceptionally hot weather, there was an excellent turnout, with representatives from a range of stakeholders coming together to mark this important milestone. The event highlighted the strong partnership working that has helped bring the scheme forward and the shared commitment to delivering new high quality, affordable homes for older persons. The scheme will bring forward 51 new Social Rent homes for extra care older persons by early 2028. It was particularly special to welcome members of Brian Ellis's family, whose attendance made the occasion even more meaningful as the development bearing his name begins to take shape.
